Realtors® and the Community
Realtors® care about the community in which they live and work. They fight for affordable homeownership opportunities, take pride in giving back to the community through volunteer work, and recognize those citizens whose extraordinary contributions have enriched our area. PMAR surveyed our members about their community involvement and in the past year, members have donated an impressive 28,500+ hours to community service and either helped to raise or donated nearly $850,000. 2013 Portland First Citizen
The Portland First Citizen Award was created by the Portland Board of Realtors® in 1928 to honor civic achievements and business leadership in the community. Considered one of Portland’s most prestigious awards, the individuals who have received it are an honor roll of the city’s most prominent leaders. |

2013 Future First Citizen
The Portland Future First Citizen Award and $5,000 scholarship will be presented at the Portland First Citizen Banquet in recognition of a currently enrolled high school senior in the Portland metropolitan area who has made an extraordinary commitment to improving the quality of life in their community. |

Realtors® work hard to improve the quality of life in their communities. As a result, PMAR has established the Realtor® Good Neighbor Award. The award recognizes the ongoing efforts of Realtors® who make exceptional contributions to improving the quality of life in their communities. |

PMAR has achieved Sustainability at Work’s silver certification and is recognized for its leadership helping make Portland one of the cleanest, most sustainable cities in the country. To earn this honor, PMAR completed numerous actions to benefit our local economy, our community and our environment, which were verified during an onsite visit with Sustainability at Work Advisors.
