Oregon has the nation's second greenest economy; and, Portland ranks number one nationally for bicycle commuting.
Oregon only trails Alaska in one ranking and behind Vermont in another. These rankings showed up in a Brookings Institution study released Wednesday.
But Portland ranks at the top of another survey, which found the city number one in terms of the share - 5.8 percent - of workers bicycling to their jobs on a regular basis. Minneapolis comes in second, but far behind Portland, at 3.9 percent.
